Lord, we need healing from sexual abuse! People seldom consider the overall affect made on a family when someone experience sex abuse at the hand of a another family member (church family included). Unfortunately, this is more common than most of us are willing to admit and the issues of life stemming from such acts has profound effect on both the victim and the predator. Many times on-going affect on the victim causes them to fall prey to every manipulating situation they face and other times it influences them to become the predator with an attitude of "I am going to get you before you get me" and equally bad the predator knotches their belt with another accomplishment of getting what they want, when they want it as they prey to the devices of EVIL . And the devestation continues to impact the entire family system for a life time. The acts committed and the stories told afterwards lead us to believe we can never be free or we can not help ourselves from relieving our fleshy vulgar and illicit desires upon anyone available when we feel we want it; whether it be someone else's spouse, a child, a church member, a prostitute, a spouse or just as common today, a same sex partner. The stories are all too common and the organized church leaders have too long turned their heads the other way as though the issues would go away. I personally believe that much of the reason heads have o frequently turned away is because at some point they have been either the victim or the predator. There is so much more to say about this subject and so much the bible reveals about it. Join me as we fact find in the Scriptures and experience the answer of deliverance and new beginning found in Christ Jesus.

Since the 1970s, the FBI has been aware of the connection between animal abuse and human violence. When studying the profiles of serial killers, they discovered most had killed, or at least tortured, animals when they were children. In the past 25 years, more and more studies have shown that those who commit crimes such as child abuse, spouse abuse, and elder abuse, committed serious and repeated acts of violence against animals, when they were younger. With all this evidence, we need to start asking why animal abusers, especially children and teenagers, are walking free, without at least mandatory counseling. I believe this raises serious public safety concerns. To discuss this issue in more depth, we have an expert in the field of human-animal issues, Dr. Clifton Flynn. Dr. Flynn is Professor of Sociology and Chair of the Department of Sociology, Criminal Justice, and Women’s Studies at the University of South Carolina Upstate. He is also author of the upcoming book, Understanding Animal Abuse: A Sociological Analysis - the first published text book on animal abuse.
